Have you ever left for work, realising you left your PC ON or with someone you are trying to Hide your Stuffs from e.g Maybe you went out leaving you PC in your Room only to find your Friend or an Elderly person using it and you are not happy about that, You don't have to be Rude to him when you can just leave the Room and Off your PC using your Twitter Account.

I will be Introducing a PC Software called "TweetMyPC" to you, TweetMyPC is a very interesting free Twitter App for PC. It lets you remotely shutdown / logoff / restart your PC using Twitter! Not only that, it also lets you do advanced stuff, like remotely downloading a file to your computer, and remotely get a file from your computer – all using just simple commands sent via Twitter. Amazing!

With TweetMyPC you can Shutdown your PC in Abuja from Lagos, or maybe you have an Important file on your PC and you will like to urgently make use of it, but the PC is not with you and you are far from where it is, You can get it using TweetMyPC & your Twitter Account..

HOW CAN I DO ALL THIS USING TWEETMY PC & MY TWITTER ACCOUNT?
To get this Features working, You must meet this Requirement:

> PC = This is your Own PC.
> Another Device that can Access the Internet e.g Phone or another PC different from the one above.
> A Twitter Account.
> A Gmail Account.

1. Download & Unzip the Files below, Run the setup.exe, it will Install the TweetMyPC Application on your PC.

2. Open and Configure the Application on your PC by Filling in your Details such as: Twitter Username, Twitter Password, Your Gmail Username and Password & dont forget to Tick the Start Automatically, So that you can always Control your PC once it is ON and Online.

NOTE: This Configuration is just for once & {Your PC must be Connected to the Internet before you can control it remotedly!

3. Once you have done this, you are all set. Now, TweetMyPC will monitor your Twitter account every minute to see if there is any update. If it sees an update, then it checks whether the update has a command that it needs to work on. If it finds something, it immediately gets to work, and performs the desired action on your PC. Once the action is completed, it sends a tweet back to you Twitter account to confirm that it has completed the action (almost like a personal robot at my home who can do whatever I want on my PC!)

4. You can now open your Twitter Page and Update your Status with any of this Command below, Your PC will perform the Task assigned to that commands and you will instantly get a Notifcation that the task as been done.

The Commands!
This are the command, You can Update your Twitter Status with any of the command you want!

> ShutDown: To remotely shutdown your computer

> Logoff: To remotely logoff your computer.

> Reboot: To remotely reboot your PC

> Lock: To remotely lock down your PC

> Standby: To remotely put your PC in standby mode

> Screenshot: A very interesting feature. When you update your Status with this command, TweetMyPC will take a screenshot of your PC and will post it on Twitter. After that, it will send you the URL of that picture on your Twitter Account.

As you would have noticed, TweetMyPC is a very useful utility. The concept itself is very unique, and I never thought that Twitter updates can be used in such an ingenious way. Hats off to the developers of this nice software, especially because they are giving this useful Twitter utility for free.
